A Nutanix Case Study
Angara Technologies Group is a fast-growing Russian system integrator in information security that outgrew its traditional server-storage-network architecture. Rapid expansion and time-critical deployment of test and customer environments exposed limits in scalability and slowed project starts, prompting the need for a high-performance, software-defined web-scale infrastructure to support new services, regional offices and managed security offerings.
Angara deployed Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (NX G5/G7, AOS, Prism), migrating corporate apps and hosted services to a virtualized cluster and later expanding to a 6-node mixed HDD/Flash environment and a pay-as-you-go model. The platform enabled simple, automated scaling and flexible resource pools, improved provisioning speed (56% faster test environment allocation), reduced administration complexity (37%), supported 1,000+ VMs across 217 pools, and helped the company triple revenue to 3.19 billion rubles while doubling headcount.
