Police Scotland, the national force for Scotland with around 23,000 officers and staff, needed to speed up digital forensic investigations across typical workloads — multiple drug supply cases and a large multi‑agency fraud probe that seized more than 100 devices and yielded roughly 14 million items of evidence. The Nuix workflow delivered major efficiency gains: overall forensic analysis time was cut by 51%, digital forensic processing time fell by 60% and report preparation time by 76%. Analysts completed 75% more cases and processed 80% more devices on average; a team of two using Nuix replaced thirteen with the old tools, and the large fraud investigation was completed in months rather than the years it would have taken previously. Nuix’s software enabled investigators to reduce the dataset, find key communications among 14 million items, and produce clear, evidential outputs more quickly.
