Nuix Enables Discovia to Meet Client’s Aggressive Data Remediation Deadline

Discovia, a managed eDiscovery firm, was hired by a large corporation to ensure that a divested business would not retain the parent company’s intellectual property. Faced with an aggressive, inflexible deadline and more than 19 TB of live data across file shares, Exchange public folders, PSTs and SharePoint sites, Discovia turned to Nuix—deploying Nuix eDiscovery Workstation and Nuix SharePoint Collector—to rapidly locate, process and remediate sensitive files.

Using Nuix, Discovia processed over 87 million objects and ingested 15.5 million files (including 16 million documents from 33 live SharePoint sites), OCRed 1.3 million PDFs, identified 2.3 million responsive hits and deleted 1,042,505 documents across Exchange, file shares, PSTs and SharePoint. Nuix’s tools enabled the work to be completed reliably in a live environment and the deletion task to finish within 30 minutes of the hard deadline.
