Nuix Empowers Guernsey Law Enforcement Crackdown on Financial Crimes

Guernsey Police, working alongside the Guernsey Border Agency, faced rapidly growing volumes of digital evidence in complex international financial crime investigations in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, where financial services account for about one-third of the economy. Traditional forensic tools that searched individual machines couldn’t correlate emails, servers and files spread across dozens of devices, so the agencies turned to Nuix and its Nuix Investigator Lab to gain the broad visibility and intelligence extraction they needed.

Nuix implemented Nuix Investigator Lab (installed June 2012 with an eight‑core, five‑reviewer licence), enabling the teams to consolidate and index more than a terabyte of data from 38 exhibits across four jurisdictions, build timelines, uncover hidden relationships and collaborate with external experts. With Nuix’s training and support, Guernsey Police and the Guernsey Border Agency dramatically improved forensic triage, mutual legal assistance compliance and investigative speed — ultimately finding key evidence (“the smoking gun”) and better protecting the island’s financial services sector.
