How Formula Student Team Delft Builds Electric Racing Cars and Effectively Manages Knowledge to Steer Itself Towards Victory

Formula Student Team Delft, a team of 84 TU Delft students who design and build electric formula-style racing cars, needed a clear, structured way to manage project documentation and keep cross-disciplinary knowledge from being lost as members graduated. To solve this challenge they adopted Nuclino in 2017 as their project documentation and collaboration tool.

With Nuclino, the team centralized designs and documentation in an intuitive, fast, and reliable workspace, creating 1,500+ items to enable seamless collaboration and knowledge retention across cohorts. Nuclino’s platform helped successors build on past work, contributing to DUT18’s several podium finishes and innovation awards and improving the team’s efficiency and design continuity.
