Forgotten Beauties launches an exquisite website in 2020 with Nucleus

Forgotten Beauties, a collaboration between artist Sophie Marchant and photographer Tillmann Pretscher, needed a website to showcase their original artworks of insects and their accompanying stories. They tasked the digital agency Nucleus with designing a site that would prominently feature their brand mark and display the intricate artwork in high detail.

Nucleus designed a user-focused website with a gallery to explore the art and individual pages for each insect, complete with detailed explanations and distribution maps. They built the site on the Umbraco CMS platform and hosted it in their private cloud. Early feedback was very positive, with the client praising the exquisite design and attention to detail, which they were confident would help establish their collection with online audiences.
