A Nucleus Case Study
Bayes Business School, a leading global business school, faced the challenge of selecting a new name to reflect a major cultural change after deciding to move away from its former name. Their internal process for generating a new name yielded few viable options that could pass necessary legal checks. They engaged the branding agency Nucleus to explore and propose further name candidates within a very tight timeframe, a process that required careful management to avoid potential reputational damage.
Nucleus employed its robust naming methodology to create two viable name candidates that met stringent requirements, including a high probability of trademark registration in key global territories. Their work helped define the school's final preference for the name Bayes. The new brand was launched to positive responses from both the press and the higher education sector, successfully establishing a foundation for the school's future brand strategy.
