A Nuage Networks Case Study
South Korea Leading Service Provider, part of the country’s third-largest conglomerate, faced a critical pivot from traditional hosting to a multi-tenant private cloud for several very large enterprise customers. Legacy networking could not bridge hosting and cloud, lacked fine-grained multi-tenant performance and security controls, and did not support simultaneous OpenStack and VMware environments or self‑service provisioning. The company deployed Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) with the 7850 Virtualized Services Gateway (VSG) to deliver full SDN capabilities without replacing existing hardware.
Using Nuage Networks VSP (VSD/VSC) and VXLAN-based isolation with a default Zero Trust policy, the provider implemented per-enterprise private clouds, self‑service network provisioning via REST APIs, and unified fabric federation for hybrid public-cloud bursting. Nuage Networks’ solution strengthened the provider’s strategic position, substantially raised datacenter and cross-cloud security, enabled economies of scale that approach public-cloud price parity, and delivered the automation and hybrid capacity customers required.
