A Nuage Networks Case Study
Numergy, a French private cloud provider created to deliver secure, sovereign cloud services to government, enterprises and SMEs, needed a national-scale architecture that ensured data residency, high security, workload portability and robust business continuity. To meet these requirements Numergy turned to Nuage Networks and its Virtualized Services Platform (VSP), alongside Nokia 7750 Service Router transport, to build an OpenStack-based, programmable cloud fabric that could span multiple datacenters and serve customers from small businesses to central government.
Nuage Networks delivered a virtual network overlay (VSP) integrated with Numergy’s OpenStack orchestration and Service VM architecture, with Nokia 7750 SR and 7850 Gateway providing high-throughput physical transport and bare-metal bridging. The solution produced a contiguous, programmable fabric that enables live workload migration, VM-level “Zero Trust” isolation, and rapid roll-out of new services and datacenters; Numergy projects up to one million VMs within the first three to five years and planned expansion to 10 datacenters, demonstrating clear scale, flexibility and improved business continuity.
