Exponential-e, a UK provider of cloud connectivity, business Internet and managed IT services with a 100GigE core, faced the challenge of connecting “off‑net” remote sites that could only reach local ISPs rather than its MPLS backbone—making provisioning slow, costly and complex. Already a customer of Nuage Networks’ datacenter SDN, Exponential-e chose the Nuage Networks Virtualized Network Services (VNS) platform to accelerate WAN/VPN service delivery and automate remote‑site provisioning across multiple access types.

Nuage Networks deployed VNS (centralized SDN controller plus Network Services Gateways) to unify MPLS and broadband sites, use EVPN for transparent routing, and automate policy‑based provisioning and service orchestration. The solution enabled faster, lower‑complexity site turn‑up, automated IT tasks, and allowed Exponential‑e to incorporate off‑net broadband locations into a hybrid VPN—expanding its addressable VPN market, improving operational efficiency and accelerating revenue opportunities.
