Takenaka unifies data from 500 sites in the cloud with NTT Global Networks

Takenaka Corporation, a major Japanese construction company, faced challenges with data accessibility and business continuity due to its use of siloed, on-premises file servers at hundreds of construction sites. This system prevented easy information sharing with head offices, branch offices, and partner companies. To drive digitization and improve productivity, Takenaka worked with vendor NTT Global Networks to migrate to a cloud-based solution.

NTT Global Networks implemented a solution using its Enterprise Cloud, Nexcenter data center, and Global Network Services to create a centralized cloud file server. This provided high-speed access to large files like BIM data, matching on-premises performance. The results included enabling data access from anywhere for employees and partners, improving disaster recovery, and reducing the IT management burden.
