Pixelworks, a leading system-on-chip provider for advanced displays with offices across North America and Asia, needed a fully managed, fully redundant global network to connect distributed teams and support future VoIP/video services. Facing one of the world’s toughest telecom markets in China, tight implementation timelines and a requirement for bandwidth tailored to each site, Pixelworks engaged NTT Global Networks to provide a managed MPLS and Private VPN networking solution.

NTT Global Networks implemented a global Private VPN/MPLS design with primary E1/T1 circuits and dynamic DSL backups, delivered circuits rapidly to meet tight deadlines, and provided a fully managed service with web-based visibility and 24x7 NOC support. The deployment cut China–U.S. latency to under 250 ms, reduced packet loss to below 1%, achieved under 5 ms jitter to the U.S. West Coast, and delivered a fully redundant network at roughly 50% savings versus legacy solutions.
