Case Study: Ricoh Japan Corp. minimizes capital investment and operational workload with NTT Global Networks

A NTT Global Networks Case Study

Preview of the Ricoh Case Study

Migration to cloud minimized capital investment while reducing operational workload

Ricoh Japan Corp. was struggling with rising capital investment and operational workload as its IT Keeper/BB Pack hosting service expanded — about 120,000 BB Pack users overall and nearly 20,000 hosting customers — and lacked the in‑house IT capacity to scale. To address this, Ricoh selected NTT Global Networks to migrate its on‑premise platform to Enterprise Cloud using the Arcstar Universal One closed‑network service.

NTT Global Networks executed a seamless migration and took over infrastructure operations while Ricoh retained application management, supplying tools to automate order registration and system visibility. The move enabled on‑demand scaling, converted fixed capital expenses to variable costs, reduced TCO, preserved service continuity for nearly 20,000 hosting customers, and freed Ricoh’s engineers to focus on new services and lower customer fees.
