A NTT Global Networks Case Study
NXP Semiconductors, a global leader in secure connectivity with more than 100 sites and 30,000+ employees, needed to modernize an aging corporate network to support a sharp rise in cloud and internet traffic. Seeking a well-priced, reliable and scalable provider, NXP selected NTT Global Networks to deliver an MPLS network and internet access service and redesign the architecture to enable direct internet breakout at every site.
NTT Global Networks implemented a multi‑phase rollout that added site-level internet breakout, MPLS connectivity, SIP trunking and enhanced monitoring and security, and accommodated NXP’s acquisition of Freescale mid-project. The result was a more stable, resilient and secure global network with greater bandwidth for cloud apps, better visibility and far fewer service outages; NTT Global Networks also supported later business changes, including carving out the Standard Products network for five factories and roughly 10,000 employees.
