A NTT Global Networks Case Study
Extreme Networks needed to move from an internally managed multi-carrier setup to a unified global communications platform. The company wanted a provider that could manage local access carriers around the world, support 50 corporate and partner sites, and maintain performance for 500 broadband telecommuters and 1,000 additional remote users. It selected NTT Global Networks.
NTT Global Networks implemented a fully managed VPN with site-to-site and SSL/IPSec remote access, email defense, and Global DSL backup. The solution integrated 25 access carriers into a single IP infrastructure with one point of contact, billing, and accountability, and it reduced operating expenses by 39% on the initial 20 remote sites. Overall, Extreme Networks reported more than 50% monthly savings, two to six times more bandwidth at individual locations, and improved availability across a 24/7 network spanning five continents.
