Shiseido, a global cosmetics company operating in 120 countries with a VISION 2020 strategy to strengthen its Asian/global presence, faced fragmented IT and slow internal collaboration. Meetings required advanced room bookings and paper handouts, the customized email system lacked schedulers and consistent UI, and web-conference hardware/support was unreliable, all of which hindered swift information sharing and agile brand management.
Partnering with NTT Com, Shiseido deployed a hybrid cloud platform—Enterprise Cloud for sensitive servers, Office 365 for unified collaboration, Arcstar Universal One VPN and Mobile Connect for secure access—along with device upgrades. The result: secure remote access, integrated company-wide scheduling, instant web meetings and paperless management, faster decision-making and information sharing, and a scalable foundation for accelerating its global brand strategy.
