KOKUYO Co., Ltd., a Japanese maker of stationery, furniture and office solutions (including the Kaunet e‑commerce site), needed to accelerate work‑style innovation and support rapid overseas expansion. Rapidly growing traffic from centralized virtualized servers had pushed their network to capacity, driving up running costs and hampering collaboration across their hundreds of offices.

KOKUYO chose NTT Com’s Arcstar Universal One, deploying a tiered, scalable global network tailored to each site. More than 100 offices were migrated, enabling smooth video conferencing even on 1–2 Mbps links, a Wi‑Fi rollout for 1,000 tablet-using sales staff, standardized network management for faster new‑office onboarding, and server consolidation that cut physical servers by about 40% while reducing overall networking costs.
