NTT America Continues to Enable SoftLayer’s Global Growth

SoftLayer, a Dallas-based leader in cloud, dedicated and managed hosting with global data centers, faced rapid, repeated growth and a strategic push into the Asia‑Pacific region. The company needed a carrier that could supply high-capacity bandwidth, low-latency global transit and very fast provisioning (including upgrading from multiple 1G circuits to 10G) to support international customers and new data centers.

NTT America’s Global IP Network (single ASN 2914) delivered the solution, provisioning a 10G link in under two weeks and providing transpacific capacity, low-latency guarantees and extensive PoPs. That support enabled SoftLayer’s Singapore site (16,000+ servers, <40ms latency), expansion into Europe (Amsterdam data center with 15,000+ server capacity and PoPs in London and Frankfurt), and continued scale — supporting 100,000 servers in production and sustained traffic beyond 500G on the path to 1Tb.
