Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (AGC), a global leader in glass for construction, displays and automobiles, faced poor collaboration and uneven security across its international affiliates after decades of localized expansion. The company needed to integrate independently run email and authentication platforms across Asia and raise minimum security standards to support tighter cross-border coordination.

Working with NTT Communications, AGC centralized email and authentication in a Japan data center and connected regional offices via Enterprise Cloud and Arcstar Universal One, adding an Internet gateway with firewalls, IPS, load balancing and MDM. The overhaul delivered faster, smoother communication (a unified address book and common email domain), centralized virus scanning and incident management, lower infrastructure and operational costs, and a platform for ongoing cloud migration and redundancy planning.
