ITOCHU Corporation, a global general trading company with offices around the world, faced a need to modernize work styles and strengthen both individual and cross-departmental communication while ensuring email security for global operations. The company was also shifting to a morning-focused work system to improve time management and work–life balance.
ITOCHU deployed Microsoft Office 365 (Lync Online, Yammer, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online) for collaboration and paired Exchange with NTT Com’s Enterprise Cloud in a hybrid email setup to meet data‑location and reliability requirements. The change increased productivity and internal collaboration (100+ Yammer communities), helped reduce overtime costs, and delivered a more secure, resilient email infrastructure ready to support global expansion.
