Achieving Toshiba's Smart Community vision with NTT Com's Cloud

Toshiba, a diversified global electronics and infrastructure company, needed a unified ICT/cloud platform to realize its Smart Community vision—integrating diverse technologies (energy, facility and partner systems), supporting global business growth, and centralizing contract and governance processes across subsidiaries.

Toshiba partnered with NTT Com to deploy Enterprise Cloud and collocation across NTT Com’s 130+ data centers and 196-country network footprint, using a hybrid IaaS model and a global account management system to streamline contracts and speed deployment. The outcome is an integrated multi–data-center cloud (North America, Europe, Singapore) that strengthened governance, enabled Smart Community services and big‑data initiatives, and led to collaborative new offerings combining Toshiba storage with Enterprise Cloud.
