Dyn (Dynamic Network Services/Dyn Inc.) started in 1998 providing dynamic DNS to consumers and small businesses and grew to two million users before discovering that large enterprises were relying on its service. That shift created a challenge to deliver global, low‑latency, highly available DNS with enterprise features and 24/7 support.

To meet that need Dyn built the Dynect Platform and partnered with NTT America’s Tier‑1 Global IP Network (ASN2914), leveraging private peering, six transpacific cables (300 Gbps capacity), dual‑stack IPv6 and 24x7 NOC engineering. The result is a scalable, high‑performance managed DNS service—featuring active failover, network load balancing, CDN management and SOAP/REST APIs—that delivers near‑100% resolution, faster international performance and supports customers like Zappos, Netflix and Twitter.
