UPC counts on mobile POS and hardware-on-demand solutions from NTS Retail

UPC (Schweiz) GmbH, a Swiss telecommunications and media provider serving about 1.4 million customers, needed to roll out new customer-specific business processes and a modern store concept on a tight schedule. To enable in‑store sales of handsets, SIMs and contracts with multilingual support, UPC selected NTS Retail’s X4 POS solution and a mobile POS concept based on Windows Surface tablets and hardware‑on‑demand peripherals.

NTS Retail implemented Retail Management, Inventory Management and In‑Store Customer Engagement modules with integrations to SAP and Order Management, plus single sign‑on for employees. The NTS Retail deployment went from specification to first‑store go‑live in under three months, delivered multilingual operation, automatic SAP order creation and digital delivery notes, eliminated duplicate data entry, simplified logins, and enabled flexible mobile POS with networked EFT terminals, printers and scanners—resulting in faster, more reliable store processes and reduced error sources.
