Tele2 Netherlands becomes store operator with NTS Retail

Tele2 Netherlands, formerly a pure MVNO aiming to become a 4G-only mobile operator, needed to launch its own retail stores quickly while handling mixed hosting and a new software development approach. To meet a tight Christmas deadline and deliver a future-proof, paperless and cashless store concept, Tele2 engaged NTS Retail to provide retail management, inventory management, BSS integration, in-store customer engagement and eLoading/eTopUp capabilities.

NTS Retail implemented a mixed-hosting architecture (backend hosted in Sweden, client virtualization via Microsoft Remote Desktop), delivered retail and inventory systems, Click & Collect and paperless/cashless workflows, and integrated prepaid eTopUp — all developed through an agile process (three sprints of three weeks). The result: the first store was operational in only 16 weeks, improved customer service and sustainability, seamless prepaid tracking, and increased turnover driven by up- and cross-selling opportunities enabled by NTS Retail’s solution.
