NTS Retail enables smooth operation for A1 Hrvatska's retail network

A1 Hrvatska, a leading Croatian telecom provider, faced a regulatory challenge when 2013 tax changes required POS systems to connect to the national online fiscalization service. To address POS integration and ongoing retail IT needs, A1 Hrvatska worked with NTS Retail using its Retail Management, Customer Engagement and Commerce Platform (including the NTS Retail POS system).

NTS Retail implemented a connected POS solution that forwards every sale, return or exchange to the fiscal authority (with encrypted receipt IDs and a queued batch fallback for outages), added in‑store bill payment handling via NTS Retail webservices, enabled same sign‑on through an LDAP interface, and upgraded A1 Hrvatska to NTS Retail X6 with maintenance support. As a result, A1 Hrvatska achieved legally compliant, tamper‑resistant transaction records, expanded customer services with cash invoice payments, simplified user login and data maintenance, and a more stable, future‑ready retail IT environment.
