BIT Ltd., a Urals-based software and consulting company specializing in security, wanted to build a retail security solution that could quickly and accurately identify offenders from multiple video cameras while fitting into existing retail operations. To do this, they partnered with NtechLab and used its FindFace Enterprise Server SDK for facial recognition.

NtechLab helped BIT Ltd. create the Stop Shoplifter EIS, which analyzes video streams in under 2 seconds, searches offender databases, and supports multiple cameras and retail chains. The solution led to theft prevention every day, more than 15 repeat offenders handed over to police each month, and an estimated 2–3% annual reduction in retail losses, with software costs typically recouped in 2–4 months.
