BDO Canada, a professional services and accounting firm with 150+ offices and 4,000+ employees across Canada, needed a better way to manage the shift to hybrid work after relying on remote operations during the pandemic. Its in-house tools, including paper sign-in sheets, spreadsheets, and custom code, became difficult to maintain, while the firm also needed a safer, more practical way to support office use, contact tracing, and collaboration across offices of different sizes. BDO turned to Nspace for a workplace management solution.
Nspace implemented a flexible, user-friendly workplace management platform that met BDO’s security, language, and integration requirements, with the rollout starting in Calgary and then expanding in phases. The first site took about four weeks to complete, and BDO improved each subsequent implementation by training superusers at each office. With Nspace, BDO gained visibility into office utilization, booking patterns, and no-show data, giving the team a complete picture of how space is used and helping inform long-term decisions about its physical offices.
