NSFOCUS Protects 2016 G20 Summit from 100,000+ Cyber Attacks

NSFOCUS worked with the Group of Twenty (G20) Summit to secure one of the world’s most high-profile events against a massive wave of cyber threats. With global leaders and critical summit applications at risk, the customer needed protection for 12,729 key assets, including its official website and other essential web pages, alongside coordinated defense across multiple stakeholders.

NSFOCUS implemented an intelligent hybrid security approach using its Threat Intelligence Portal, Web Vulnerability Scanning System (WVSS), Web Application Security, Next Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) with Threat Analysis System (TAS), and Anti-DDoS System (ADS). The vendor identified more than 611,000 vulnerabilities before the summit, blocked 169,919 web attacks during the event, thwarted 1,984 DDoS attacks, and protected against more than 41 TB of malicious traffic, helping keep G20 services online and secure.
