Imgur, a leading image-hosting and sharing platform with about 4.5 billion monthly pageviews and ranking among the top 50 sites globally, needed to efficiently deliver long-tail, rapidly changing content at massive scale while leveraging its distributed infrastructure to maintain fast, engaging user experiences.

Imgur deployed NS1’s Managed DNS—using global load balancing, Filter Chain, and geo-fencing—to route users to the nearest Fastly CDN POP (including RFC-compliant apex domain support) and used NS1 monitoring to route around issues. The result was more efficient traffic distribution across datacenters, lower latency content delivery, and reliable, responsive support from NS1.
