Grammer AG wins Design Innovation of the Year with N+P Innovation Design

Grammer AG, a company in the mobility sector, collaborated with N+P Innovation Design to revolutionize train seating and differentiate itself in a competitive market. The challenge was to move beyond traditional class divisions and create a strategic, adaptable product line focused on modularity, digitalization, and future sustainability for high-speed trains.

N+P Innovation Design implemented a solution centered on the Nordstern modular seating system, which uses a flexible construction kit and zone-based arrangements to cater to diverse passenger needs. The project included developing a user-friendly mobile app for passengers and advancing prototypes through collaborations with specialized partners. As a result of this partnership, the innovative seat design was presented at a major industry event and N+P Innovation Design, along with Grammer and its partners, was honored with the "Design Innovation of the Year" award in 2023.
