Oil & Gas Producer Deploys Global ICS Security Program

Accenture Security worked with an international oil & gas producer operating across the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East to address limited visibility into its increasingly complex industrial control systems (ICS) environment. With no inventory of its operations and field assets, the customer struggled to assess security posture and detect threats across its global facilities. Nozomi Networks’ Guardian solution was selected to provide the operational visibility and cybersecurity capabilities needed for the program.

Accenture Security implemented Nozomi Networks Guardian as part of an end-to-end global ICS security program, rolling it out to 23 North American sites in Q4 2018 and adding another 23 sites in Q1 2019, with broader expansion planned. The result was real-time regional and global ICS network visibility, a detailed automated asset inventory, and improved threat detection and response across hundreds of assets on three continents. Nozomi Networks helped enable scalable, non-intrusive monitoring that could identify anomalies before they caused cybersecurity or process incidents.
