Why Twitter asked EventBeat to provide a Twitter Wall at BPL Live

Barclays Premier League staged BPL Live in Cape Town to bring fans up close to the trophy, former players and live match screenings, but needed a dynamic way to integrate Twitter sponsorship and drive real‑time fan engagement on the venue’s large screens. NowSignage was brought in to provide a social media wall/digital signage solution that could aggregate and display live content from Twitter, Vine and Periscope across the event.

NowSignage implemented four interactive social streams — a live Twitter wall, animated Vine playback, and team “battle-off” feeds that were monitored and broadcast in real time — all curated for the big screens. The solution powered mass social engagement across the region, encouraged thousands of attendees and remote viewers to post and interact on Twitter, Vine and Periscope, and delivered strong on‑site brand prominence for Twitter throughout BPL Live.
