Sony connects with customers using digital signage

Sony sought to deepen community engagement at its flagship store in Southampton by creating an in-store “community wall” using mounted tablets to showcase local social content. To achieve this, Sony partnered with NowSignage, using NowSignage’s digital signage/tablet solution to aggregate and display community-sourced social media in-store.

NowSignage’s solution collected, moderated and instantly published mixed social media feeds to a set of three in-store tablets branded as the “Sony Community Collection,” with customers who shared content entered into a prize competition to drive participation. The NowSignage deployment delivered immediate, measurable in-store engagement—three tablets broadcasting live social content—and boosted customer interaction and social participation around the Sony Southampton store.
