Great Manchester Run - Customer Case Study

Great Manchester Run, Europe’s largest 10k, wanted to boost on-course engagement for thousands of runners and spectators with real‑time, personalized content. NowSignage provided a digital signage/LED Screen Cast solution to surface live images, social content and targeted messages by integrating with event timing data so the right content could appear at the right moment.

NowSignage’s implementation matched chip timing data to wave-specific travel times and triggered inspirational messages when runners were about 50 metres from the LED screen, displaying multiple names to maximize interaction. The approach delivered heightened spectator and runner engagement at the M.E.N. Cheer Zone, proved the feasibility of targeted messaging in live crowds, and demonstrated a scalable way to personalize content for future events.
