Denbighshire launches a bilingual play area website across North Wales with Nowhere Design

The customer, Denbighshire Council, wanted to create a play area listings website for North Wales that was easily updatable, child-friendly, and responsive. The challenge was to build a straightforward, bilingual site for English and Welsh speakers with consistent listings and a simple navigation UI. Nowhere Design was engaged to develop this solution using WordPress.

Nowhere Design built a responsive WordPress website featuring a dropdown menu to search for play facilities by type and travel distance. The solution included duplicate translated pages and a language-switching navigation to properly serve both Welsh and English speakers, as automatic translation was insufficient. The vendor delivered an ongoing project that enables parents and carers to easily find play solutions across the region.
