Peterborough Regional College, a major further and higher education provider serving more than 15,000 students, needed a better way for its IT team to manage documentation for over 1,020 PCs and a large user base. Their existing intranet was not searchable, making it difficult and time-consuming to find procedures, network information, and support knowledge. Novo Solutions provided the Novo Knowledge Base to create a central, searchable repository for IT information.
With Novo Solutions’ Novo Knowledge Base, the IT team quickly built and organized articles into user-defined categories, adding attachments, screenshots, and related links to improve usability. The result was a more collaborative, on-demand knowledge resource that captured IT best practices for future use and reduced reliance on individual staff memory. The college reported that the system became an “invaluable tool” for the IT department and provided standard and advanced search for faster access to information.
