MediTrac, developed by Novo Solutions, was created from the real-world needs of a 500+ employee hospital system struggling to manage high volumes of internal requests across departments. The organization needed a simpler, more flexible alternative to a complex help desk system so it could track equipment, support requests, and other operational tasks more efficiently.
Novo Solutions implemented the Novo Request Tracking Software with custom rules, workflows, templates, and permission controls, allowing multiple departments—including IT, Facilities, Human Resources, Housekeeping, and Lodging Reservations—to share one system while keeping data secure. The result was faster request handling, better reporting, automated task routing, and significant cost savings; the hospital was handling about 100 facilities requests per day and had been using the solution successfully for more than three years before it evolved into the MediTrac product.
