JDS Healthcare Corporation’s Pharmacist Network, a division serving patients across British Columbia, needed a fast, accurate, and easy-to-use way for 45 pharmacists to access and update medication information in real time. Their challenge was to manage a growing volume of highly current policies, procedures, and drug reference data through a centralized, web-based knowledge base that could be used quickly by a diverse group of healthcare professionals. Novo Solutions provided the knowledge base software used to support this network.

Novo Solutions implemented a flexible, scalable knowledge base that users could learn in minutes and access from anywhere, enabling JDS Healthcare to maintain one up-to-date source of information, support different authorization levels, and expand into new FAQ modules. The solution improved speed and accuracy in delivering medication guidance, supported e-learning, and helped strengthen JDS’s public image; over 10,000 calls had been handled through the system, and the Pharmacist Network later received the Canadian Pharmacists Association’s Patient Care Achievement Award for Innovation.
