How Orlando’s Implemented Digital Menu Boards to Improve Food Sales

Orlando’s Market needed a better way to keep prices accurate and menus easy to read across Sammy’s Bar & Grill and Dryers Ice Cream. Their old digital menu slideshow moved too quickly for customers to follow, hurting the guest experience, so they looked to Novisign for a more flexible digital menu board solution.

Novisign worked with Orlando’s to design and set up editable menu boards with item names, descriptions, prices, and images that could be updated from any computer. Orlando’s installed 7 screens initially, later adding 2 more for in-store advertising. The results included an 11% increase in appetizer sales, a 9% rise in ice cream sundae sales, shorter ordering lines, and easier promotion of specials and time-based menus.
