EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, a San Francisco-based insurance brokerage and consulting firm, needed a workforce management and time & attendance solution that could handle flexible organizational structures and varied pay rules across multiple subsidiaries. As Epic acquired smaller companies, it wanted a system that could separate databases, apply different paycodes, and still report across the full organization. EPIC turned to NOVAtime and its NOVAtime 5000 workforce management / time & attendance solution.

NOVAtime implemented the NOVAtime 5000 and enabled EPIC to manage its own pay rules alongside those of three subsidiary business groups without needing an additional database. The system also supported customized time-off coding and integrated with Ascentis for payroll. EPIC reported that the solution met all of its needs, and praised NOVAtime’s customer service and implementation support, with the payroll manager highlighting the ability to run reports across the entire database as critical to the business.
