Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS), the largest public school district in Iowa, needed to automate time and attendance for more than 5,000 permanent and part-time employees working across multiple sites. DMPS selected NOVAtime and its NOVAtime 4000 SaaS workforce management solution to improve timekeeping accuracy, reduce administrative burden, and support timely payroll processing.

NOVAtime implemented more than 80 NT6500 fingerprint time clocks with Indala Readers so employees could use their existing access badges to clock in and out. The cloud-based system eliminated recurring license fees and offered scalable support for DMPS’s size, helping the district streamline workforce management, improve employee satisfaction, and better control labor costs across a staff of nearly 5,000 employees and more than 60 schools.
