Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference Center Simplifies its Workforce Management using NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise Edition and NT6500 Push Technology Time Clocks

Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference Center, eastern Pennsylvania’s year-round resort destination, needed a flexible and robust time-and-attendance system to manage a large mix of permanent and seasonal employees, especially during peak winter periods. The resort turned to NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise Edition and NT6500 push technology biometric time clocks to replace its previous ADP-based process and better support workforce management across its hospitality operations.

NOVAtime implemented a solution that automatically pushed punches from fingerprint clocks, eliminated the need for data collection PCs, reduced buddy punching and password-related helpdesk issues, and gave supervisors tools to approve timesheets and time-off requests. Bear Creek also used NOVAtime’s In/Out Board and Scheduling Engine to track staff in real time and manage schedules such as ski instructors, with the system successfully supporting nearly 900 employees during the winter of 2008.
