The Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund (AEF) faced the challenge of quickly transitioning its large-scale JUMPSTARTER pitch competition to a virtual format due to coronavirus safety concerns. With less than two weeks before the event, they needed a partner, Notified, capable of live streaming from China while managing multiple simultaneous video feeds for global finalists and judges to interact in real time.

Notified implemented its Virtual Events platform featuring Studio webcasting to create a custom-branded online environment for the event. This solution successfully broadcast the competition globally, allowing 40 finalists to pitch remotely. The results for AEF included 20,000 online participants from 100 countries, 58 hours of streamed content, and an estimated carbon savings of 544 metric tons.
