How does the Red Cross use its first aid app to support civilians in emergency situations and to increase the health & safety know-how of the Dutch population

The Dutch Red Cross used its first aid app to improve health and safety awareness and help civilians in emergencies, but needed a better way to reach users with timely, relevant information. To do that, the organization worked with Notificare’s mobile marketing platform to add location-based and personalized push notifications to its existing app.

With Notificare, the Red Cross was able to send highly targeted messages for campaigns, surveys, workshops, and emergency-related updates. The results included 10,000 survey responses from 120,000 people reached, 4,000 website visits and 60 workshop registrations from a regional push campaign, and a stronger one-on-one relationship with more than 330,000 users who opted in to notifications.
