Case Study: Dare County DHHS streamlines mobile case management with Northwoods Traverse

A Northwoods Case Study

Preview of the Dare County Health Department Case Study

Onboarding Made Easy with Simple Software

Dare County Department of Health & Human Services needed web-based software for its adult services team that could support mobile and office-based work. The department was also looking for a simpler way to onboard new staff and replace a difficult-to-use VPN-based process. Northwoods provided Traverse, its cloud-based document management, forms management, and mobility software, to help staff access case files from any location and on county-issued devices.

With Northwoods’ Traverse, social workers, on-call staff, transportation aides, and others can scan, upload, store, search, filter, and view case documents in centralized electronic files from laptops, iPads, and smartphones without relying on a VPN. The result was faster onboarding, more refined processes, and quicker reports and intakes because workers could complete tasks in the moment. Staff also valued the in-app videos and support tools, which made learning and referencing the system easy.
