A Northwoods Case Study
Mesa County Department of Human Services worked with Northwoods to address the burden of manual paperwork and missing forms during intake and assessment work. Social caseworker Ericka Sebring often had to rely on paper files and carry paperwork in her car, making it difficult to gather consents, referrals, and collateral information quickly and consistently when meeting with families.
With Northwoods’ Traverse, Ericka can complete digital forms on an iPad during home visits, send documents for supervisor signature remotely, and access case history and information on the spot. Northwoods helped the department streamline services, improve the quality of client work, speed up counseling referrals and information gathering, and make better safety decisions for children, though the case study does not provide numeric metrics.
