How Lenoir County Broke the Social Work Burnout Cycle in Child Welfare

Lenoir County Department of Social Services worked to keep case initiation rates high and turnover low in its child welfare and adult and family services programs, but paperwork and documentation demands made that difficult. Northwoods provided the county with child welfare and adult & aging technology to help social workers spend less time on administrative work and more time on direct client service.

With Northwoods’ solution in place, Lenoir County’s social workers were able to repurpose one to two hours a day from paperwork to client engagement, while keeping documentation accurate and up to date. The result was more time for building trust and delivering higher-quality, more holistic services, along with better support for reducing burnout and turnover.
