A Northwoods Case Study
Fairfield County Child and Adult Protective Services worked with Northwoods to help new child welfare caseworkers like Liz get up to speed faster on transferred cases. The challenge was that critical family history, key events, prior placements, and important contacts were often scattered, incomplete, or hard to retrieve, forcing workers to spend too much time piecing together case details instead of supporting families.
Using Northwoods’ Traverse case discovery solution, Liz can search for specific information, review events in chronological order, see people connections, and surface “dark data” such as treatment progress reports, court documents, and behavioral health records. The result is faster case understanding, better placement and support decisions, less repeated trauma for families, and greater confidence when closing cases, though no specific numerical ROI was provided.
