Case Study: Crompton Technology Group achieves streamlined aerospace quality control and scalable production with Northwest Analytics' NWA Quality Monitor

A Northwest Analytics Case Study

Preview of the Crompton Technology Gruop Case Study

Crompton Technology wind up flight control with NWA Building on the best processes with NWA’s Quality Monitor.

Crompton Technology Gruop, a Banbury-based maker of advanced filament-wound composite parts, needed to meet stringent aerospace quality and traceability requirements while handling a much larger volume of dimensional, ultrasonic and material-batch data—without disrupting existing paper-based workflows. To solve this, the company adopted NWA Quality Monitor from Northwest Analytics.

Northwest Analytics deployed NWA Quality Monitor at seven shop-floor stations, using templates that replicate paper travellers, direct connections to measuring equipment, live SPC and a central database. The system gives instant visual tolerance feedback, eliminates re-keying, produces a color-coded “super traveller,” and automates Certificates of Conformity, packing lists and shipping labels—improving speed and reliability. CTG currently makes about 40 shafts per week (projected to grow to 40 per day as production ramps) and is rolling the solution out to other product lines.
