Emission-free construction Vattenfall’s deployment of Voltpack Mobile System

The customer, Vattenfall, sought a sustainable solution to decarbonize construction sites by replacing diesel generators, particularly in areas lacking grid connections. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor Northvolt to utilize the Voltpack Mobile System, a modular lithium-ion battery.

Northvolt's solution provided a flexible, scalable, and emission-free power source capable of supplying electricity for equipment, machinery, and site cabins. The system was successfully deployed at a construction site operated by NCC, delivering fossil-free electricity and enabling a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, while also improving the work environment with quieter operations.
